Staying With Yourself in Love

Back when I was doing Tarot/astrology readings full time, I noticed some patterns. One was that women would often come in almost distraught over a newish love. Everything had been going great; the guy was attentive and attuned to her, then there was a subtle, but profound shift.

It was a crossroads, where the guy was settling back into his own rhythm, and it was the woman who had to adapt. He wasn't in tune with her, and was setting the tone of the relationship. It's a vulnerable point, where the woman has to decide whether she stays with herself, or plays off his rhythm (his wants and needs). With so much conditioning to deny our basic natures and emotional needs, often it's the latter. And women out of their own groove lose their power and sense of self.

In a reading this morning a Taurus Sun friend made the remark that it's when she adapts to the situation or a person's vibe, that's when she gets into trouble. It's a lesson I've learned over and over again. The astrology of our own birth chart is a way to understand that unique rhythm, and honor it. Through self-awareness, you stay in your power and accept the natures of others.

The Moon is in Taurus, waning to a Libra New Moon (October 7th) before waxing again to Full in Aries (October 22nd).
